a mish mash of stuff

The boys started school in September, Noah in 5th grade and Benjamin in Kindergarten, we are back at CPLS, which is so awesome!  Such a great school, and the boys are so happy with their teachers, Noah has an awesome teacher, a man, which is working out so well for him!  Benjamin has the sweetest teacher, he loves her!

This year Noah went through one of the many rites of passage that he will experience at CPLS.  This year was his Latin Naming Ceremony.
Noah's Latin name is Motus, which means motion.  Very aptly named.

This year we have been lucky to have Kindergarten/5th grade book buddies, its nice that we have a Kindergartner and 5th Grader!  Out first outing together was the Pumpkin Patch.
Benjamin and his book buddy Caleb.
Noah and his book buddy Spencer.
 Brother and sister.
 Such a big girl!

Road Trip

At the beginning of the month we decided to take a road trip to KC just for fun.  February was a brutal month for us, we went through some serious sickness  and we ALL were desperately needing some fun in our lives!  We got the kids up that morning, let Noah skip school and headed out but did not tell them where we were going.  Our first stop was Crown Center and we went to this great restaurant called Fritz's.   This place is the coolest!  Trains deliver you your food on tracks that run all over the restaurant.  Benjamin was in heaven!
It was a great lunch and the kids all had a wonderful time!

Next, we walked around Crown Center and then drove down to City Market, it was a gorgeous day and so nice to be outside!

A really big paddle wheel.

The Melting Pot.  Where Chad proposed to me.  Its been 5 years and 2 kids later.

Ella at Brio on the Plaza.  They give the kids pizza dough to shape and then they bake it, Ella's never made it into the oven.  Apparently we starve her.

Benjamin and Noah with their dough.

All in all, it was a fantastic day.  I wish we could do it more often!
